  First, a bit of perspective: We're a middle-aged family with two elementary-grade kids. This is our first apartment rental experience in a solid 15 years, since my wife and I met in our late twenties. We moved to a 3bdrm apt. here at Stonemeadow in late December 2015. We plan to move out mid-September, so our stay will have been 8 months or so. I'll be sad to leave here.
  
  Now, to specifics. The office staff and maintenance guys have all been super cool. Maintenance issues were handled promptly. We had two cars and did not have a problem with parking. Parking is 1st come, 1st served, so yes sometimes we had to park far from our building. Nature of the beast. Grounds are neatly kept for the most part, and the pool and fire table are nice to hang out near during the summer. The residents' lounge is nice, too, and warm and inviting during those long rainy months. You're always gonna have good and bad neighbors--I'd say we had our fair share of each. No sweat. Adapt. Improvise. Overcome. We met some really nice people here. We had one issue with a storage unit break-in, but for the most part no real crime issues.
  
  From a family perspective, I'd say there were two big things that bothered me here. The general arrangement of the parking garages is such that it creates a LOT of blind corners. Kids have to cross the parking lot to get to the playground, and when coming back, these blind areas really come into effect. You're gonna have a contingent of the residential population here that refuses to slow down, so the potential for an accident, in my estimation, is very high. I'm surprised a kid hasn't been hit already. Also, there really isn't a purpose-built school bus stop--the 30 or so kids just line up at the bottom of the driveway on the sidewalk. Few parents step in to provide guidance or keep order, so unless you are right there with them (I was with mine) the potential for an accident rises here, too. Lastly, I might add that road noise from I-405 is pretty noticeable when you are outside, however, the buildings do damp the noise adequately.
  
  Overall, Stonemeadow served our purposes well as a staging point while our new home is built. It's a pretty solid choice. Good people and a good place to live.
